Haitian diaspora ;My pick...  Top 5 small businesses to start in Haiti

I love to see how people take whatever little resources they have and make a living in Haiti. Give a man a cooler  and he will sell ice cold drinks to those stuck in the slow city traffic. Give and old lady $5.00USD and she will walk to the countryside and buy some mangoes,  sugarcane, charcoal, ect... to buy. Walk it back to the city and sell it piece by piece to make 1 or 2 dollars profit. She will save the profit and take the $5.00 and start again the next day. Soon, she may start a small restaurant if she is a good cook. If you live in Haiti and family outside of Haiti, they ship a pickup truck to you. A man with a pickup can do tap tap. If you have an invert or generator you can charge people to charge their cell phones, ect... In Haiti one does not have study electric unless you have a back up. Someone who has a lot of credit on their cell phone may charge others to use it.  Below are my top 5 small businesses one could start in Haiti so that your family members do not  depend on you (diaspora). They may get rich but will find some money.

1. There are so many non government organizations (NGO) in Haiti. They have US dollars.  This is an over looked target market. You can RENT anything from cars to cell phones to security services to NGO's.

2. Unlocked gsm cell phones. Enough said. You can buy them cheap on ebay. They must be gsm unlocked to work on any network such as Digicel.

3.  Jeans. Enough said.

4.SHOES! Trust me, carry a suitcase full of shoes and they go fast. Men shoes are worth more. Black children shoes are important as the use these as part of the school uniform.

5. Hair. Hair for braiding , relaxer kits, ect... Beauty is big in Haiti. Help someone who has skills start a salon.

Peace and love
